We are inviting our upcoming kinder students and parents to a night of fun! Join us to learn about kindergarten, Fairfax, and even receive a special gift! Scan the QR code to pre-register and be guaranteed a prize for attending. This is for kindergarten students that will attend Fairfax in 2026-2027.

Take a moment to look ahead for key dates—first/last day of school, holidays, and breaks—and share with friends and neighbors so everyone’s in the loop. Thanks for planning with us!

Due to the potential for severe storms, all Chambers County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, March 16.
School buses will run two hours later than their normally scheduled pickup times.
Student drop-off by parents will also run two hours later than normal.
Please use caution during your morning commute, and we look forward to seeing our students safely at school. Thank you.

Mark your calendars, Chambers County family! Our students and teachers will be enjoying a well-deserved break from March 30 through April 3, 2026. It's the perfect time to rest, recharge, and create lasting memories together!
As we approach this special time, we're also reminded that April 3rd marks Good Friday—a day of reflection, faith, and renewal for many in our community. It's a beautiful reminder of hope, redemption, and the power of coming together with purpose.
Whether you're spending break time with loved ones, exploring new places, or simply relaxing at home, we hope you find moments of peace and joy.
See you refreshed and ready to finish the school year strong when we return on Monday, April 6th! 💚

Hello families,
It’s our final week of Kids Heart Challenge!
We are having a blast learning how to keep our hearts and minds healthy and happy. I’m so proud of our students and families. Together, our efforts will help save lives!
There’s still time to help us reach our goal of 50% of our families joining our team. When that happens, our school will earn a $500 gift certificate for physical activity and recess equipment to support the health of our school community.
Here’s how you can help:
Sign up here or download the free “AHA Schools” app for iPhone or Android.
Raise funds to help kids with special hearts.
Complete Finn’s Mission: Complete all 7 steps, learn Hands-Only CPR, and be entered to win two Super Bowl tickets!
Donations are due: 3/6/2026.
Every step in your mission – from learning Hands-Only CPR, to recognizing the warning signs of a stroke, to making or receiving a donation – makes our community safer and helps kids with special hearts.
Thank you!
SUN Bucks will use the mailing address on file in PowerSchool to send the cards. If your address has changed, please contact your child’s school to update it as soon as possible. SUN Bucks is pulling contact information next week.

Amazing Shake Competition Winners
We’re proud to celebrate our 6th–8th grade students who competed in this year’s Amazing Shake! Twenty-five participants brought their best professionalism, poise, and communication skills—congratulations to our winners:
• Overall Winner: Emmanuel Floyd (8th Grade, WF Burns Middle School)
• Second Place: Mason Landrum (6th Grade, WF Burns Middle School)
• Third Place: Courtney LaShae Jenkins (8th Grade, WF Burns Middle School)
These three students will travel to Montgomery in March for a three-day internship on the State House floor during the legislative session—an incredible real-world leadership opportunity.
Huge thanks to Dr. Weldon, Dr. Jones, Dr. Groover, Sarah Maddux, and everyone who helped make the Amazing Shake a success. We appreciate your time, mentorship, and support for our students.
What’s the Amazing Shake? It’s a competition that teaches students professional skills—like handshakes, interviews, conversation, and problem-solving—through real-world scenarios and friendly competition.

We have made the decision to reschedule class pictures due to student and staff illness. The new date will be Monday, March. 2nd, 2026. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Thank you for your patience as we navigated the winter weather. We’re hopeful that road conditions have improved and that everything is clear and ready to go. But, please be careful and watch for slick spots on less-traveled roads.
📚🏫 We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27.
Stay warm tonight, and we’ll see you soon!

This brief shift to remote learning is a proactive measure intended to curb the spread of illness and allow our facilities to be thoroughly sanitized before students return.
We appreciate your flexibility and cooperation as we work together to keep our school community healthy and safe.
Chambers County Schools Administration

Note: Any parent notes used to excuse illness during January will NOT count toward the four allowed parent notes for the 2nd semester.
Thank you for helping keep our schools healthy!
