The CCSD will delay the start of school on Wednesday, January 17th by 2 hours. All schools will start 2 hours later. This step was taken due to the hard freeze warning & extreme temps as low as 13 degrees projected. The delay will make it safer for bus travel & students to get to school. Please stay safe.

The CCSD is informing parents & staff that we will remain in our virtual school mode on Tuesday, January 16th. This is due to a winter weather advisory for our county with threats of freezing rain & icy conditions. Sub freezing Temps for students waiting on buses was also considered. See you on Wednesday.

Parents,
Online preschool registration is open if you have a child who will be 4 years old by September 1, 2024.
Please go to our district website or any CCSD school website under the Useful Links section for further information.

We are continuing to evaluate the weather situation for Tuesday, January 16, 2023. We will have another update from the NWS and local EMA about 4:30 cst. Please stay tuned for an update later this afternoon.

The CCSD will shift to virtual school for all students & staff for Friday, January 12th. This decision was made after consulting with Chambers EMA & the National Weather Service due to a potential storm risk with 70 mph winds and tornadoes. Please stay safe & weather aware.

Chambers County schools will delay the start of school on Tuesday, January 9th due to potential of severe weather and flash flooding. Buses will run 2 hours later than normal, and carport will begin at 9:10. Students will be tardy at 9:45. Stay safe!

Chambers County School nurses recently visited the Chambers County Community Health and Wellness Center in Lafayette, hosted by Linda Gibson-Young, Health Services Director. They were able to tour the facility and meet with members of the Alabama Department of Public Health to learn about many useful resources available in Chambers County.
