Any 8th through 11th graders interested in trying out for marching band flag line, will start back practicing next Thursday, March 13th from 3:15-4:15. There will not be practice this Thursday.
Any 8th through 11th graders interested in tryout out for the new marching band dance line will begin practices on Fridays from 3:15-4:15 beginning on Friday, march 14.
Email or See Mrs. DeLoach with any questions about tryout eligibility and requirements.
Also, any student in any grade can be in the band's pageant that is on March 15th.

8th graders take on Southern Union. This week 180 WFB students were introduced to the community college by talking to law enforcement and emergency workers as well as exploring the fine arts building, the medical building and the machinery building. This was a great opportunity for our pre-secondary students to think about post-secondary opportunities!

Today we celebrated Mrs. Marberry, who will be retiring at the end of this week. We are thankful for the lives she has made an impact on, and wish her well in the next chapter of her life. 💙🧡

All 8th graders planning to go to the Career Expo at Southern Union must have permission slips turned in by Wednesday, Feb. 26th.
Chambers County Schools will only be having a half day of instruction for students on February 26, 2025. All CCSD staff will be having professional development training that afternoon. Students will be released at 12:00 noon local time at each school.
We are super proud of Kallen Vallia for applying to intern at the Captiol and being able to spend these days with our Amazing Shake Finalists. We are so proud of her taking the iniative to apply and for being accepted!

Amazing Shake Winners Kip Hunter, Annaleigha Tullock, and Ada Yarbrough represented Chambers County well as pages at the Alabama House of Representatives. Thank you, Representative Debbie Wood, for hosting us this week. They have learned so much from this opportunity.
As we celebrate Black History Month, we want to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for ALL OF OUR AFRICAN AMERICAN EDUCATORS, PAST AND PRESENT. We would like to acknowledge some of our previous African American employees at the upcoming Board Meeting. We invite you to attend this special gathering honoring these extraordinary former employees. The meeting will be held at LaFayette High School’s auditorium on February 19th at 4:00 PM Central.
We had so much fun with the book fair over the past few days. Thank you to everyone that supported this event. We allowed each elective class to preview the fair and provided them with multiple opportunities to visit and purchase books and products. Because of the success of the book fair, we were able to add multiple new titles to the WFB library collection.
