
Our Amazing Shake Finalists interviewed with our assistant superintendent, curriculum director, and director of testing today. They all did a wonderful job! Because of your generosity, children in our community will receive toys that they might otherwise have gone without. Your kindness truly makes a difference, and we appreciate your support.

The 2024-25 Junior Miss Vallerata Pageant will be held on
Saturday, February 22, 2025 for grades 6 th - 8th. Any girl who
wishes to sign up may do so. Girls in 6 th -8 th grades can sign up
with Mrs. Miles. The deadline to sign up and pay the $15
pageant fee is Friday, February 7 th .
After the sign-up deadline is complete, pageant
coordinators will check the grades and discipline record.
Students in 6-8 grades must be passing all current subjects.
Candidates may only have one discipline referral from the
beginning of the current school year to the pageant date.
Candidates who have discipline infractions/ referrals that
resulted in Out-of-School Suspension or In-School Suspension
will not be allowed to participate in the pageant. Contestants
must maintain positive discipline leading up to the pageant to
remain in the pageant.

Attention: 6th, 7th, and 8th grade parents. Yearbook Recognition Ads are on sale NOW, for your WFB student. All orders must be placed by 12/06/2024. See Flyer for details.


Our 7th grade students had an opportunity to learn how skeletal muscles work together to make the body move by observing the structure of a chicken wing.
Thank you to Givorins for donating the chicken wings, as well as Dr. Etherton and Stephanie Chappell for donating gloves.








Students may bring $5 to wear Iron Bowl gear with jeans and attend the Volleyball game! Concessions will be sold for $1/$2.

WFB is hosting a Christmas gift drive to support the BigHouse, a nonprofit group that provides services for foster care and adoptive families in our area. If you are able, we are accepting new, unwrapped gifts for ages 18 and under. We would like the gifts to be around $15-$20 but not over $40 to maintain an equal shopping experience for all families. Any donations should be turned in at the library. Sign in when you donate. If you decide to donate two items, be sure to sign in twice! The HR with the most participation will win a breakfast party!

Our next PAC (Parent Advisory Committee) meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 11/19/24 at 5:30 PM ET. All parents are invited! We can't wait to see you!



Our 7th grade students enjoyed a trip to see Black Violin at Gouge Performing Arts at Auburn University yesterday!

W.F. Burns is accepting donations for new and gently used jackets, coats and sweatshirts. Must be in uniform colors (white,
black, navy blue, red, or gray) with no hood.

Our PAC Meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, 11/19/24 at 5:30 PM due to our WFB Basketball season opener against LaFayette tonight at 6:00 PM Eastern Time. Please come out & support our Rams in LaFayette at 6:00 PM as we take on the Bulldogs!
